The Flint Water Crisis has been a heavy and ongoing topic in mainstream media. A circumstance of its magnitude makes the Flint Water Crisis a prominent example of strategies created to maintain and assist at-risk, large communities. In this session Dr. Hanna-Attisha, Pediatrician, Hurley Children’s Hospital and MSU, will discuss background and timeline of the Flint Water Crisis, examine tools used by the MSU-Hurley Pediatric Public Health Initiative to effectively respond to emergency situations, the current state of crisis and share lessons learned from our work.
